2024/2025 Scholarship Program

For years, Houston Texas Fire Fighters Federal Credit Union has been helping current and prospective students cover part of their college expenses.

Every summer your credit union awards six $1,500 scholarships to college-bound applicants meeting eligibility criteria and successfully completing the application process.

To be eligible for the award, an applicant:

  • must be an HTFFFCU member in good standing for at least 180 days

  • cannot be a previous recipient of HTFFFCU Scholarship Program

  • attending a 2-4 year accredited college or university in the Fall of 2024

If shortlisted, interviews for the finalists will be on Saturday, May 18, 2024

Meet the 2023 Scholarship Program Recipients



Liberty is from Cypress, Texas, and is planning on attending Sam Houston State University with a major in Education. Liberty is apart of the Drill Team, National Honor Society, and the Environmentalist Club. Liberty is absolutely determined to become a teacher at an elementary school because she loves helping people.



Jared Is From Kingwood, Texas, And Is Planning To Attend Lone Star College With A Major In Computor Science. Jared Has Had Perfect Attendance, Is A Church Volunteer And Is Involved With Service Learning. Jared's Favorite Genre Of Book Is Science Fiction.  



Clayton is from Brenham, Texas, and is planning on majoring in Personal Financial Planning. Clayton is the Texas Tech President's Select Ambassador, has made the Honors List, and was involved in his schools E-Sports team. Clayton's dream job is to become a Personal Financial Planner partnered with a large firm as an associate.


Kentavian is from Trinity, Texas, and plans on attending Sam Houston State University with a Major in Tech Engineering. Kentavian is on the Honor Roll, Varsity Football Team, as well as Varsity Basketball Team. Kentavian's dream job is to work for Google.


Katherine is from Orlando, Florida, and is planning to study Business and Hospitality Management at the University of Central Florida. Katherine has won both Silver and Bronze Girl Scout Awards, is active in church, and competes in soccer. Katherine’s dream job is to become a TV or Celebrity chef!


Jayme is from Kingwood, Texas, and is currently attending Texas A&M University and is studying Genetics. Jayme is an All-State Team Varsity Swimmer, a National Honor Society member, and apart of the TAMU Freshman Leadership Orginazation. Jayme is most determined to have a career that involves helping people.
