2024/2025 Scholarship Program

For years, Houston Texas Fire Fighters Federal Credit Union has been helping current and prospective students cover part of their college expenses.

Every summer your credit union awards six $1,500 scholarships to college-bound applicants meeting eligibility criteria and successfully completing the application process.

To be eligible for the award, an applicant:

  • must be an HTFFFCU member in good standing for at least 180 days

  • cannot be a previous recipient of HTFFFCU Scholarship Program

  • attending a 2-4 year accredited college or university in the Fall of 2024

If shortlisted, interviews for the finalists will be on Saturday, May 18, 2024

Submit the completed application and essay before the deadline of Friday, March 15, 2024, to:

MALAYA CHANDLER

Malaya will be attending Southern University A&M, where she plans to major in Business Management. She has a strong ambition to excel in the business world, with a focus on leadership and organizational effectiveness. Malaya is dedicated to acquiring the knowledge and skills necessary to manage and grow successful businesses, aiming to make a significant impact in the corporate sector.

AUDREY WHITE

Audrey will be pursuing her studies at Louisiana State University, focusing on International Studies with a specialization in Global Diplomacy. She is passionate about understanding global issues and working towards diplomatic solutions that promote peace and cooperation between nations. Audrey aims to play a significant role in international relations, helping to bridge cultural and political divides through effective diplomacy.

OSCAR MONTES

Oscar will be attending either the University of Texas or the University of Houston, majoring in Natural Sciences. He aspires to become a Physician Assistant, driven by a strong interest in medicine and a desire to provide high-quality healthcare. Oscar is motivated by the opportunity to work closely with patients and contribute to their well-being, ensuring they receive the best possible care.

RUSSEL CASH

Russel is set to begin his studies at Texas A&M, majoring in General Studies. With a clear vision of becoming a mechanical engineer, Russel is eager to dive into the world of engineering and develop the skills necessary to design and create innovative mechanical systems. His dedication to this field is driven by a love for problem-solving and a desire to contribute to advancements in technology and infrastructure.

Mia is attending the University of Texas San Antonio, where she will be majoring in Biology. Her goal is to become a Physician Assistant, a career path that reflects her deep commitment to healthcare and helping others. Daniele is attending Grand Canyon University in Arizona, where she will be majoring in EdD-Organizational Leadership with a focus on Higher Education of Leadership.
