| The convenient way to place stop payments on checks is through CU Online. Stop payments must be placed by 3:00 p.m. CST to be guaranteed for the same business day and are valid for 14 days. An extension of 6 months can be placed on the stop payment if you return the signed confirmation notice to the credit union. The stop payment fee will be withdrawn from the account on which you are stopping payment.
How do I place a stop payment?
1. Log onto CU Online
2. Select the "Check Services" menu bar
3. Select "Check Stop Payment" tab
4. Choose Account Number for Stop Payment
5. Enter check number
*If your checks have 5 or more digits, enter the last 4 digits of the check number.
6. Enter "Submit"
7. A review of the transaction will be presented to you. If it is correct, select "Submit." If not, select "Cancel." You will also receive written notice of the confirmation through the mail.
